CVS Trip, 93 cents OOP

I hit up CVS yesterday, here's what I got:

2 Boxes Tampax Pearl [2.97/each]
6 Dove Deodorants [2.50/each]
2 Packs Chewy Rolaids [4.99/each]
3 Boxes Nutrigrain bars [3.33/each]
Merchandise total: $40.92

I used the following coupons:
2- $2/1 Tampax Pearl [6/6 P&G Insert]
6- $2/1 Dove deodorant printables
1- $4/2 Rolaids [6/6 RP Insert]
3- $1/1 Nutrigrain printables

I used $14.99 in Extra Care Bucks [ECBs]

After coupons and ECB, my total was $0.93+tax. I received $14 in ECBs and a $5/$15 CVS Q.

After sales, coupons, and ECBs, I saved $52.34. Not too shabby!!

About Me

Hey! I'm Alex and I'm a [nearly] 21 year old senior at the University of Illinois. Guess what? College is expensive! But between school, research, and my position on the executive board of a service organization, I don't have a lot of time to work. During a typical week I work 8-10 hours in the dining hall. It's not enough to live on.

Enter coupons.

Though I've always casually used coupons, I started seriously couponing in March. Partway through April, I began to document all of my expenses and savings. During May, my first full month of documentation, I saved over $800, which is about 50% off retail price. As I build and maintain my stockpile, I expect to spend less and less, and save more and more. This blog is about that journey.

For June, my goal is to spend less than $90 on groceries. During May I spent $120.
